ABOUT US
Structure Workshop is a structural engineering design practice committed to the pursuit of buildable and elegant structural solutions.
The practice was founded by Peter Laidler in 2004 to provide collaborative design services to a broad range of clients. A workshop attached to the studio allows physical tests and model making to compliment the design process.
Peter graduated from Bristol University in 1991 before training on large scale civil engineering projects in the UK and abroad. Further to gaining chartered status he took a sabbatical in a London art foundry before returning to engineering and focusing on art and architecture. He is currently a director of Structure Workshop and an external consultant with the RCA and London Metropolitan University.
Presently Structure Workshop is investigating salt as a construction material and is working on projects in New York, Lima and Luxembourg.
