A pair of 15m span three-pinned glulam arches with a timber and plywood deck are designed to support an intensive grass roof spanning over this subterranean artisit's studio.

The arches are tapered to suit reduced bending moments towards the crown and to increase head room at the abutments. A reinforced concrete raft foundation carries the horizontal thrust in tension produced by each arch and avoids the need for costly foundations.
