A new build house on a tight village site in Sussex. The living quarters on the first floor provide spectacular views of the adjoining contryside.
The structure mixes masonry, timber, steel and both precast and insitu concrete construction to realise the design intent. Ground source heat and rainwater harvesting are additional features of the project.
The project received a 2011 RIBA award and is short listed for the Manser Medal. Photographs by Adam Richards Architects.
