Inspired by a gasometer frame this tower was designed to suspend the N.S.I Rope machine in the Grand Hall of I.M.Pei's gallery in Luxembourg.

Two spiral stairs allow vistors to climb to a 9m platform and view the sculpture and it's mechanism at close quarters. The tower is constructed out of glued laminated timber, plywood and steel, and incorporates a winch that enables the 1 tonne machine to be lowered to change spools.
