FIVE WAYS OF STANDING UP
Artist: Edmund De Waal
Architect: DSDHA
Architect: DSDHA
A series of pavilions being designed collaboratively with artist Edmund De Waal, architects DSDHA, and furniture maker Matthew Hilton.
The timber and glass pavilions are intended to frame installations of porcelain by the artist, providing an architectural context both at the local scale of the pavilions and at the global scale of their location. Initially intended for the grounds of Chatsworth House, it is hoped the pavilions will then travel to other locations including Somerset House and P3.
The maquettes have recently been accepted to the summer exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts.
